Binda Bash Weekend

Last weekend we dashed to Toowoomba to celebrate Ken's 60th birthday with the family. We had to be there by 11am to catch the bus down to Murphys Creek Tavern for lunch. Nathan drove; a video of pictures and favourite songs from the last 60 years played as we travelled. There was much frivolity and only a lot little sledging.

Here's (a lot) of photos for you, Meg and Drew, so you can see how the day went. It was good fun and everyone was very happy. Here we go!!

After leaving the tavern we called by Mandy's house to pick up the cake and proceeded to the "mystery venue" - the Milne Bay Military Museum. The story goes that for the last 40 years Ken and Desley have visited museums whenever they have travelled. A few weeks ago, Mandy asked Ken why he liked museums so much and what the attraction was. Ken said he hates museums and only goes to them because Desley likes them!!! So there we were at MBMM but I don't know who for really whether it was for Ken or Desley. However, Gibbo wanted his photo taken with a big gun......

We had cake, cordial and coffee in a room at the museum. We came, we made a mess, we made a lot of noise, we cleaned up and then we left again.

We went back to Binda and those that weren't staying, left for home. The rest of the group played games.

Gibbo found it hilarious when Ben kicked the football and hit Lillie in the head. "Didjaseethat".

Georgia, Isabelle and Phoebe had matching dresses. It was easy to take lots of cute photos of them.

Sunday morning we all converged on Weis for breakfast. They gave us a room of our own. Luckily.
