Pizza From Scratch

Drew came home for the weekend to help Gibbo get on top of the spraying. We looked at a few photos from his trip then he disappeared for most of the day, returning only for a chicken sandwich lunch. A few more hours tomorrow and they should have it all knocked over.

Here they are, refilling, discussing today's state election. One votes one way, one votes another!

We had home made pizzas for tea, starting from scratch with the dough.

Here we are, justing before the dam broke and water went everywhere :)

Messy kitchen but the cat looks impressed!

Meg Gets Busy and Finds a Friend

With all the recent rain Meg's yard closely resembled a jungle again. She attacked it with the mower and looks to have done a grand job.

She's looking after a friend's cat (while it's mate recovers from a hernia operation). It's also a bit of a trial run to see if she wants to get a cat of her own after she returns from India later in the year. This cat looks quite comfortable!

And it likes shoes which is a definite bonus. They have something in common.

Lemon Butter at Last

We're quite fond of lemon butter in this household; we never fail to buy a bottle or two when we go to markets. I've been meaning to make some for a long time but never quite got around to it; I'd planned to  include some in our christmas hampers but time constraints (and procrastination) meant I didn't get there; but today, I finally made the time - and I can't believe how quick and easy it was. Delicious! I'll never buy it again!

The Little Things

Found this little critter on the floor this morning.

Found this big critter in Meg's room after she'd left to go back to Roma - on the FORBIDDEN CARPET no less!!!

Like she really cares…..

There must have been a black bird convention at Woodlawn today; they were everywhere.

We kept a few of the 2013 male calves entire; here's two of them, looking more like bulls all the time. We've sold one.

Beautiful clouds.

It's been a long time since I bought the weekend papers and indulged myself; I've missed doing this!

Farm Tour

We expected 3 visitors on Saturday - and ended up with 12!! No problem though. They all had a great time and we hosted an impromptu wagyu steak and sausage bbq; always a popular option.

The Kid Whisperer.

Harry couldn't walk any more so hitched a ride.

Home Again

Drew arrived home last Thursday; here he is, zombie like with boredom during an 8 hour layover in Taipei. When he finally landed in Bris he endured a 20 minute interrogation by a customs official and managed to remain calm and polite.

Next project - find a JOB!!!!!
