Friday Night

When we came inside I had one of these - a gin and lime tonic in my Singapore Sling glass from Raffles. Very refreshing. Outside, the sky was on fire.
Best Crackling Ever - Gibbo and Meg say it each time we have roast pork. Thanks Millie.

After dinner I made some more passionfruit butter. It's not as good as last time - less tang.

Here's some nice dark photos of the plum jam making process. It's pretty easy. Get your daughter to buy 2kg of plums and have her halve them and remove the seed. Take a crappy photo. One day, learn to take decent inside night photos.

Follow the incredibly easy recipe in the Stephanie Alexander cookbook - the one that you don't use very often but like to open up and breathe deeply of the new book aroma (still smells new even though you've had it for years since Rachel gave it to you when you visited her in Melbourne). Take another crappy photo.
Use two different sized casserole dishes until your dubious powers of estimation bring you to a third, suitably sized dish. Pour an amazingly large (1.25kg) amount of sugar over the plums and leave them to sit overnight. If you don't have a sugar problem beforehand, you probably will after. None for Gibbo. Take another dark photo.

After sitting at the desktop computer, downloading crap photos for what seems like hours because "your system resources are critically low"..........go to bed.
