Charles and Bert

Charles and Bert (aka Mate and Peter) went to an air show at Oakey on the weekend. Mate has been a plane enthusiast for as long as I can remember. His nickname for me is Popsy ie "P for Popsy", the name of one of the Lancaster UK RAF planes that bombed the Ruhr dam in May 1943 (and immortalised in the film The Dambusters). Mate said the air shows aren't as good as they used to be because you can't get up close to the planes to have a real good look (due to safety precautions) but he seems to have done a pretty good job with this one! He may have spent too long on his feet out in the hot sun though as he was very fatigued when he got home.
