Burning the Candle

Drew has found himself at the working end of the semester with a pile of essays and spanish tests almost burying him. A 1500 word Anthropology essay is due today and a 2500 word International Peacekeeping one is due on Monday. The framework for it is built but the walls and fittings have to be added - a tough job when there's a big party looming this weekend but he'll manage it. There's nothing like putting yourself under stress to produce a great result. Meg would remember this when she misjudged, by a week, the timing of a due essay in her Masters course. She realised at 7pm one Friday night that the essay had been due at 5pm the same day - and I was coming to visit for a weekend of shopping. She sat up nearly all night and submitted it at 7 the next morning - and received a result of 38 out of 40 for it!

Despite the workload, Drew has managed to still find time to enjoy himself - this time at the masked ball.

He had "the best time". He rang me several times from the local kebab shop afterwards, once to ask me where the money comes from when you ask the atm to kindly give you some. He slept well that night.
