Doing It Tough and Other Things

Gibbo called from the Kirribilli Yacht Club or Squadron or somewhere or other to say hello. He's doing it real tough in Sydney for a couple of days - he sent photos from CW's unit overlooking the Harbour Bridge, the city a blaze of lights. I was standing at the kitchen bench cutting up beef hearts to freeze for the dog. Hello? What am I doing here?

Our visitors enjoyed their time here on Sunday. We had the usual; wagyu meatballs, which we now have a new name for. The Indonesians have a type of meatball they call Buxo (I think that's how it's spelt). So we now call these - BUXO.

The evergreen favourite - marinated wagyu cubes. We really need a new name for these as well because, well, marinated wagyu cubes is pretty boring. These are often more popular than the steak itself.
And some meat for a bun - maybe a 6.
Some carrot cake.
Zucchini slice - home grown zucchinis, tomatoes and eggs.
Meet my new (look) daughter. A weekend spent in Brisbane, shopping with her first pay packet in six months, resulted in a new hairdo and lots of packages! She had a load of fun, buying whatever took her fancy.
Gibbo washed some of his wyandottes for the poultry show this weekend - then tethered them to screwdrivers in the lawn to dry in the sun.

Mare, that meat looks divine. Would love to share a wagyu steak with you someday! And of course, my all-time favourite cake - carrot.
Love Meg's hair by the way. I was blonde for many years, in fact my driver's licence still shows long blonde locks, so different from now. Don't really think blondes have more fun!
Gibbo in Sydney. Why is it they get all the perks?
Take care.
Fiona.
