MVP and All That

I found myself back amongst my cricketing mates last night at the QCC Annual Awards Night at the Gabba. Most of the touring party were in attendance and it was lovely to catch up with them all. I had the best creamy chicken soup I've ever had and my pork chop was so much more than 'just a pork chop'.

Gibbo came away with two awards - Highest Batting Aggregate for the regular season and MVP for the overseas trip. No-one could quite believe how much weight he's lost since the tour and all commented on how fit and slim he looks.

This morning we went to Gabrielle and Peter's place for breakfast on their back deck. Their two cats are the healthiest, most contented cats I've ever seen and certainly lead a charmed life. We really enjoyed our visit and it was lovely to just relax and do something leisurely and different for a change. They introduced us to the 'perfect coffee machine' so we tried out the capuccino - and it was very good.
From there we drove to Toowoomba where we met up with Meg and Chris at Binda. Meg and I stayed for a Ladies High Tea Garden Party to celebrate Melissa's 30th; Gibbo and Chris headed home to 'do jobs' (ie go to the cricket nets with Dave and the bowling machine and get in some practice for the 6-a-side comp to be held on Sunday).
We had roast beef and the works for dinner, all prepared and cooked by Gibbo. It always tastes better when someone else cooks!

Okay, so what does MVP stand for???
Well done to the cricketer, a lean fit one at that.
And your pork chop was obviously from a Berkshire pig, "the Wagyu of the Pork world" as Matthew likes to say.
Always lovely to hear what's going on with you.
