Taming the Wild Tomatoes

I spent a while in the garden of course and pulled out some of the old and withering wild tomato plants and harvested a large crop of green toms. If I leave them on any longer they either get sunburnt or burrowed into by grubs. Putting these in the pantry will help to ripen them well.

I dumped some very fresh screened manure in the places that I cleared; it was too fresh really; very very hot. It will be a while before I can plant anything in these spots but it will certainly be good down the track.
