It Really Was Only 5 Minutes

I've been meaning to do this for a while; now I feel relaxed enough to have the time...I only needed 5 minutes. That's what it's called. Five Minute Bread.

You take these three ingredients, add water and mix for no more than a minute.

You take the bowl that has been rescued twice (once from  going to Vinnies and once from going to the TCentre) and place the dough in it. It's perfect for the job. Leave all day (or overnight if mixing in the evening).

It doesn't look like much.

After sitting, it looks like this. Then you knead it for no more than one minute.

Put it in a very hot dutch oven. This is how it looked at the half way mark.

This is how it looked when it was ready.

We had it for dinner with lamb chops and leftovers. It was quite delicious with a very crusty, crunchy outside.

I'll start to experiment with some different flours and toppings and see how creative we get. This loaf recipe would be the perfect one to have with pumpkin soup. Definitely.

I also made more relish; one for Peter and one for Meg's friend (and three for us)!
