Peter's Place

Each year I send a loaded plate full of Christmas lunch home with Peter - this year I completely forgot. So after going to town to do the BIG shop for the visitors, I did him up a plate of leftovers while Meg made him two little pavlovas and I ran it down to him. He lives on his own on a great little 4.5 acres not too far from here. I have never seen a neater house yard; he's very particular about his yard and his house. It's a great little spot and a perfect setup for him, being both peaceful and quiet.
A family of lousy jacks lives in the trees out the back. Two babies were being fed.
There's a local butcher bird too. Peter has also fed king parrots from his hand. Galahs, magpies and rainbow lorikeets sometimes drop in as well.
The neighbouring cattle come by every afternoon.
He has a good sized yard that takes several hours to mow. There's barely a blemish in it. He hasn't gone overboard with extra gardens but what he has got, works really well.
