a face only a mother could love??? Aussie Game at the poultry show yesterday. These birds look prehistoric; they're ugly but there's something quite magnificent about them at the same time.

We had another successful show although it didn't quite reach the heights of Queanbeyan. We left home at 5am in the dark, not cold, the weather was really mild. During the day the temperature hit 25 degrees; I had to take my jumper off and wandered around in jeans and a singlet - a brilliant day in the middle of a Queensland winter.

The show team won Champion White Pullet, Reserve Champion Large, Champion Lace of Show and Champion PB Cockerel. I won two bags of feed in the raffle! We have one more show in two weeks (at Woodford) then the show season wraps up for us and we start breeding.
