Garden Life

I banged in a few more steel posts and salvaged another piece of shade cloth from The Compound and made the vegetable garden totally frost protected (as long as the garden gets covered each night). I also scrounged a piece of mesh to replace the sheet of tin at one end so that a little more sunshine makes it's way onto the plants. Shade from the mostly gum trees means that the sun is gone by mid afternoon in winter. Every little bit helps.

I planted more lettuce and silverbeet at the tank pot garden in fresh soil that I mixed on the weekend.
