Compost Underway

One of our latest projects has been to build a combined wood storage and compost area. We concreted the posts in on Saturday. I was labourer/general gofer; G was project manager ('cos he always has to be the boss-or so he thinks).

This is how the area has looked for a while. There's been so many other things to do.

Saturday the red concrete mixer worked. Sunday it didn't, requiring a bit of man power.

And here she is. Wood will go in the long side.....

and compost will go in the other.

With a piece of iron down the middle (still to be secured) there'll be two bays.

I roughed up the ground a bit and have started collecting ingredients, preparing for my first batch.
