The People

The whole aim of the cruise was to celebrate Gibbo's Mum's 80th Birthday. When the idea was originally floated it was suggested that the girls in the family all sail away together - Pam, Rhonda, Desley, Karen and me. Then the idea morphed into including Gibbo because he is actually a child of Pam's (and I'm not) - plus we really needed an even number to make cabin configuration work a little better (and I didn't really want to go without Gibbo). Unfortunately, due to work commitments, Rhonda couldn't make it so a friend of Pam's came along - another Pam. She has been a family friend for many, many years. So off we went.

Sailing away - Desley (sister), Gibbo and Mum (Pam)

Desley, Maryanne, Pam

Sailing into Noumea - yes he did take more than one shirt.

We walked early each morning. Twice Gibbo broke into a run!

Lifou

Birthday Night

With our regular waiter and waitress - Blaise from India and Jenepher from The Phillipines. On the last night they gave us paper flowers that they had made. They were very accommodating and very friendly.

Mother and Son - The Golden Child, The Favourite One etc etc

Every time we turned around there was a photographer wanting to take our photo - leaving Brisbane, C&W Night, Cocktail Night, Formal Night, Hawaiian Night and getting off the boat in Noumea, Lifou and Vanuatu. The photos are available to view the next day and are quite expensive. We bought 5 and we shared the cost.

Mother, daughter, daughter, daughter-in-law and son.
