Sharing the Love

Meg has been back at work for over a week. She's already embraced Samantha Wills again and trawled through her two favourite shops in town and made a purchase from each. She's incredibly organised and has just about finished her Christmas shopping.

Chris is working in the office at the feedlot until he goes back to Uni in February to do his Masters (and graduate as an Architect).

Gibbo spent last week at home but is gone all this week - I took him to Brisbane on Sunday for his flight to Melbourne; he's since been back for meetings in Brisbane and is now in CQ overseeing the final clearing out of MD.

Drew's host parents went to Florida for two weeks so he went and stayed with two different families. His internet reception was a bit patchy so we haven't caught up much lately :( He went to his second big rock concert - LMFAO, whoever they are. He cracked me up when he said he danced so hard his shoe came off!!

The letter we've been waiting on arrived from UQ to say that Drew can take up his place next year (or defer another year). Meg, Chris and I got up at midnight Sunday night to enrol him in his four courses; his Spanish class only has places for 30 students so we wanted to make sure he got in. Well, after a few dramas we got him into everything - and he was the first student enrolled in each class. Next morning when we checked again there was only one other student in three of them and still only him in the fourth. Nothing like being organised hey?

The website for the Antarctica trip went live last Thursday - www.studentsonice.com/antarctic2011. The menu on the left of the page has all the details of the trip including biographies of the students.

In other exciting news, we had the work Christmas party last Friday night. It was ok; a blow up slide for the little kids and a slam dunk bungey for the big kids kept everyone entertained and off the grog. There weren't any fights or disagreements so that was a bonus. Gibbo and I wore Canada shirts - sharing the love.

Have had a quick look at the Students on Ice link you provided. Isn't Drew going to have the experience of a lifetime! Can't wait to see the photos.
