Fresh Produce

Drew delighted in fossicking for potatoes and pulling oddly shaped carrots. We ate them on Sunday night, boiled then finished off in duck fat as an entree to garlic calamari. Saturday night we ate Lightning McQueen (aka fresh goat) with cauliflower and broccoli from the garden; Drew made a cheese sauce. The eschallot and parsley were used in the mini quiches, as were a heap of fresh eggs. We had garden lettuce on our chicken rolls for lunch. If I was more diligent with my planting schedule we would be eating like this more often.
