Way Out West 19-21 October

Two weeks ago a group of us boarded the company plane and flew way out west, up to central Qld then back home - 5 stations/feedlots/farms in 2 and 1/2 days - to roll out a program of values and behaviours that has been developed over the last 9 months. This was just after we took off from our local airport.

First stop, Surat.

Getting priorities sorted in the kitchen.

On the phone; always on the phone. At least he got rid of the BB and joined the iPhone brigade.

Next stop - The Channel Country.

The Homestead; an oasis in the dry.

These are the sandhills that the cattle congregate on when a flood comes through; they're what saves them from being washed away. We had some cattle end up in SA a few years ago.

On film.

CQ1.

Too much excitement for some.

CQ2.

There's that phone again.

Fifty-two hours after leaving we were home again. The next day G was back out at Surat and I went to Toowoomba for my 12 (actually 13) month checkup after last year's operation.
