Leaving on a Jet Plane

Meg's boyfriend leaves today for a 4-5 months stay in a cold climate. She's putting on a very brave face but I'm a little worried for her. This is a very tough gig to deal with, especially the first little while. I remember how upset I was when Gibbo went to the States in 1991 for three weeks. She's a very strong individual but this is big. I don't doubt she'll cope but there will be some very low moments. I love you Megey; you will be ok.

Update: The airport check-in went very smoothly and the goodbyes went well too. She didn't cry, just got a bit teary. Good on you Megey, that's my girl.
