We've come to northern NSW for the weekend - to Tweed Heads South.
I went walking and came across these pelicans hovering around a drain pipe.
I walked a few steps and, on the other side of a bush, found a fish cleaning table with sink and pipes leading to the drain - hence the hovering. Another batch of pelicans and some seagulls were waiting expectantly. A fisherman threw some of his scraps into the crowd - and all hell broke loose!
Then calm descended.
But not for long! More fish scraps, more scrabbling!
My lunch - garlic prawns and ginger beer.
