PB1 Came Back

I picked up PB1 yesterday from the butcher; we bagged him up this morning. By the time we allocated meat to family and friends we ended up with about a quarter of him! PB2 goes over next week.

Eye Sore

Yes it is; really sore. G is in Bris for 3 days of meetings; he went to a doctor this afternoon, who removed a piece of something from his eye.....the result of grinding the corrugated iron at the sheep shed at eye level in really windy conditions.

That's some patch hey?

She's On Her Way!!

Meg leaves Cairo tonight, slowly making her way home. She'll land around 6am Thursday.

The last couple of days have been a bit challenging - a meal that didn't really agree with her has caused a degree of discomfort. You get my drift.

She's packed and ready! Can't wait to see her!

Where is Meg?

After several days of not hearing from Meg I began to wonder if she was wandering, lost and forlorn, in a pyramid or mummy's tomb. Then suddenly, a message came through..and some photos! Love this pic of her!

Sunset on the Nile.

How Sweet

I gave three little silkie chicks to three little children. This is what I received in return. How Sweet!!

Weekending

We hope the sheep trough will stop leaking; a bit of silastic should help.

More progress on the sheep shed.

Andrew came to inspect.

We just need to cut the excess iron away and put a roof on and secure the fence.

Big Red geraniums in terracotta pots for the front steps.

My nearly favourite plant - a curry bush.

Variegated oregano at the back door.

Gibbo got on the roof and banged a chain in the chimney; this is what fell.

It's that time of year.

He thinks we can't see him!

Way Out West

We spent the latter half of the week travelling to some properties in Western and Central Qld. Wednesday we were south of Windorah; Thursday and Friday we were in CQ.

The Windorah-Birdsville Road.

Hello and Goodbye and a Good Buy

We welcomed 3 new turkey hens to the mix; the gobbler was impressed. Meg won't be. She's not a big fan of turkeys.

We said goodbye to PB 1. He'll be back soon, in a box.

We'll soon be welcoming some new kids; surely there's more than one in there. Peppie is one fat goat.

Poofy has a new bed; he's quite impressed!
