Sunday Brekky

The four of us went in to have brekky at the boutique cafe in our little local village. One of us walked (Meg), one of us rode (me) and two of us drove (the boys). Drew headed back to Bris from there.

This year we're both doing the Ride to Conquer Cancer - 200km over 2 days - so I figure I need to get a bit of training in. G will probably start the week before it's on.

It was lovely sitting outside in the autumn sun, talking and laughing and being together again. It's my most favourite time ever, when we're all together.

Does anyone notice the one constant in all those photos.....Meg's smile never wavers no matter what's going on around her!!!

We Were Busy

There was lots of activity over the weekend. Meg and I went to town and Meg set my Mum up with my old iPhone. She's loving it!

Gibbo finished the sheep shed while we were away.

Drew came home and got roped into helping Gibbo with the concreting of the frame for the pig feeding area.

We made relish (and Meg made macarons but we didn't take any photos!!!).

Drew gave me my Mothers Day gift - some home made pasta sauce, some flash fettucine and a special bottle of olive oil - all from his trip to Melbourne.

And Meg wore her new boots - not for work but for fashion!

A Sweet Surprise

We left work early on Friday afternoon to meet up with some old friends who'd come to visit; we took them for a farm tour and found one of these!

A ewe was down with pregnancy toxiemia so we gave her some Calcigol Plus. The next morning we found she had these.

The kids (ours) were both home for the weekend so there were lots of photo opportunities.

Saturday afternoon, another ewe was showing signs so we treated her as well.

Meg (and Coco) comforted her. In no time at all she was up and moving about again.

Roosters New Mascot!

Meg couldn't resist buying Cocie a new outfit....and of course, Gibbo loves it! His favourite team is the Roosters. Poor little thing knew what was coming!

Nailed It

Meg has really outdone herself - Ferrero Rocher macarons?? I kid you not! It's a little bit of heaven in your mouth!

A Testing Tasting Time

Here's Gibbo at 8 of the 13 winery stalls at the Hampton Markets yesterday! He didn't find one he liked but he had a nice time trying them all!

Hampton Festival

We headed off to the Hampton Festival today; it's only taken me 12 years to get there. There was a vast array of different food to eat and wine to sample and plenty of market stalls, mostly food related (relishes, jams, cheeses, oils, salts, macarons, fudges, fresh produce etc). We had a nice day and ran into a few people we haven't seen for a while.

Gibbo had a nice time sampling a shiraz at each wine stall; I didn't record every visit, just most of them! We bought some blue cheese and caramelised balsamic vinegar; Meg bought a range of macarons - she wanted to sample the wide selection of flavours - verdict: meh, nothing outstanding.
